The high-tech park with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus announces a new recruitment process for teachers (primary school teachers and informatics teachers) in the educational project "Programming in the Scratch environment."
In January 2018, it is planned to launch elective classes to study programming in the Scratch environment for students of the 2nd grade as part of the curriculum "Creative Activity in the Scratch Programming Environment" in general secondary education institutions.
If the educational institution is interested in organizing elective classes for second grades, the project organizers will provide the teachers with all the necessary methodological, consulting, technical and information support.

The purpose of the educational project "Programming in the Scratch environment" is the formation and development of algorithmic and logical thinking in schoolchildren, the skills required in the 21st century (basic programming skills, communication skills, and teamwork).
The training is carried out within the framework of the curriculum of elective classes for students of general secondary education "Creative activity in the programming environment Scratch" (2-4 grades) and "Creating computer games in the language of visual programming Scratch" (grades 5-6).
Over the period of September-November 2017, about 300 teachers of computer science and primary school education became the project participants.
At present, the curriculum of elective classes on programming in the Scratch environment is studied by 5000 students of grades 3-6 in all regions of the Republic of Belarus.
During the autumn holidays, 116 teachers who started teaching Scratch in the 2017/2018 academic year received free training at the training of the PVT Educational Center, which were organized in Minsk, Mogilev, Novopolotsk, and Grodno.
In order to strengthen the material and technical base of 13 educational institutions in rural and district centers, 135 computers and laptops were transferred to Scratch residents of HTP in November-December 2017.
