Association of IT & Business Process Services Companies in Poland (ASPIRE), Poland

ASPIRE (www.aspire.org.pl) brings together companies operating in the Business Process Outsourcing & Shared Service Centre market in Poland.

Our focus is on:

  • Lobbying & Representation: establishing the value of the sector to the local, regional and national economy and influencing the external environment, with particular regard to labour market and infrastructure development.
  • Information Sharing: collecting data from and on behalf of companies operating in the sector; organising sector specific seminars, workshops and roundtable meetings; search and send information centre.


Established in October 2008, ASPIRE is based in Kraków which is the leading centre of IT and BPS in Central and Eastern Europe with 25 global companies operating in the sector employing 16,000 people.
 
Among the services which ASPIRE provides to its members are Poland City Surveys to capture the BPO/SSC market; research and action planning on common issues which influence the IT & BPS business model, such as transport and education, and specialised training for the IT & BPS sector.

Projects
 
ASPIRE is currently engaged in the following projects:

  • “Future Skills” - 2 year, EU funded joint project with the Tischner European University in Kraków to customise University - Business Links. The project includes the following components: i) Knowledge Transfer “Business Mentor”; ii) Internship Programme “Best for the Best”; iii) Curricula Development; iv) Enterprise Development “Enterprise Club” (Oct 2008 - Sept 2010);
  • “City Survey Kraków - Capturing & Collecting the Kraków BPO/SSC Market” - organised in co-operation with PricewaterhouseCoopers (Oct - Dec 2008);
  • “iCommuter” - joint project with the City of Kraków to establish transport needs of BPO/SSC companies in Kraków and explore opportunities for co-operation on sustainable mobility and transport management (1st stage: Oct - Dec 2008);
  • “Lingua Franca” - specialised training for the IT & BPS sector in intercultural communication, developed in co-operation with leading corporate training companies. Training modules draw on the report  Intercultural Communication in Business in Kraków - completed in June 2008.
